Description
Chasmfiends are slug-like demons, their bloated, mucous-covered bodies pulsating with an unnatural, sickly glow. Their skin is translucent, revealing shifting shadows and dark veins coursing with ichor. They move by undulating their grotesque, segmented forms, leaving a trail of acidic slime in their wake.
These fiends have jagged, lamprey-like mouths lined with rows of needle-sharp teeth, and their bodies are adorned with fleshy, tentacle-like protrusions that flail erratically. They exude an aura of rot and decay, and their presence alone seems to sap the vitality from the air.
Despite their slow movement, Chasmfiends are relentless in their pursuit of prey, driven by the corruptive will of the Vorrithan.

Traits
Corrosive Slime. A creature that starts its turn in the same space as a Chasmfiend or moves through its trail must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or take 5 (1d10) acid damage and have its movement speed reduced by 10 feet until the start of its next turn.
Clinging Corruption. When the Chasmfiend hits a creature with a melee attack, the target must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be cursed. While cursed, the creature has disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws. The curse lasts for 1 minute or until ended by a remove curse spell.
Mucous Glide. The Chasmfiend can move through difficult terrain caused by slime, ooze, or similar effects without penalty.
Actions
Multiattack. The Chasmfiend makes two Bite attacks.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 7 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) acid damage.
Acidic Spew (Recharge 5–6). The Chasmfiend spits a glob of acid in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
