Succubi and Incubi

Origin and Creation:

The Succubi and Incubi were crafted by the Lord of the Underworld to be dark reflections of the Guardians of Light. Born from the shadows and twisted by the darkest desires of mortal souls, they were designed to corrupt, seduce, and ultimately destroy the living, serving as instruments of the Underworld’s malevolent will.

Physical Appearance:

• Succubi: The Succubi take the form of stunningly beautiful women, their beauty so perfect it is almost unsettling. They have flawless skin, often pale or with a faintly reddish hue, and eyes that glow with a seductive, unnatural light. Their hair is dark and luxurious, flowing like shadows around them. Despite their human-like appearance, subtle demonic features betray their true nature—slightly elongated ears, sharp nails that can extend into claws, and small, retractable bat-like wings that unfurl when they reveal their true form. Their bodies radiate an unnatural allure, drawing in victims with a mere glance.
  
  While they normally appear as stunningly beautiful women, the true form of a Succubus is revealed when they feast on their victims. In this state, they transform into horrific demonic figures. Their once-flawless skin becomes ashen and cracked, revealing sinew and muscle beneath. Their eyes turn pitch black, and their once-beautiful faces contort into a grotesque visage of terror, with elongated fangs and a gaping maw. Their wings, previously hidden or delicate, expand into massive, bat-like appendages, dripping with dark energy. Their fingers elongate into sharp, bony talons, perfect for rending flesh from bone.
  
• Incubi: Like their female counterparts, Incubi also possess a horrific true form that emerges during their feast. Their skin turns a sickly, mottled grey, and their features become twisted and monstrous, with glowing red eyes, sharp, protruding horns, and a maw filled with jagged, predatory teeth. Their muscular bodies swell with dark power, and their wings become large, leathery, and menacing. Their hands transform into massive claws capable of tearing through even the strongest armor.

Hierarchy and Social Structure:

• Mistresses of Desire / Masters of Corruption: The highest-ranking Succubi and Incubi who oversee the corruption of powerful mortals. In their true forms, they are even more terrifying, their power and appearance reflecting their centuries of dark deeds. They answer directly to the Lord of the Underworld.
• Tempters / Corruptors: These are the standard Succubi and Incubi who operate independently, targeting influential individuals. Their true forms, while horrific, are not as monstrous as the higher ranks, but still capable of instilling paralyzing fear in their victims.
• Lesser Seductors / Deceivers: The lowest tier, less powerful and often serving under the higher ranks. Their true forms are less exaggerated but still terrifying, often showing the early stages of their demonic transformation.

Traits and Abilities:

• Life Drain: The Succubi and Incubi drain the life force of their victims through seduction. As they do so, their true form is gradually revealed, with the final act of the feast fully transforming them into their monstrous state. This horrifying change often paralyzes their victims with fear, making the drain even more excruciating.
• Shape-Shifting: Though they can take on the appearance of the most desired form, this illusion begins to crack and fade as they feed, eventually giving way to their true, demonic appearance.
• Dream Manipulation: They can invade and control dreams, but in their true form, these dreams become twisted nightmares that reflect their horrific nature.
• Aura of Dread: In their true form, the Succubi and Incubi exude an aura of pure dread, causing even the bravest warriors to falter and flee. This aura amplifies their ability to drain life force by instilling fear.

Behavior and Culture:

• Sadistic Pleasure: They revel in the horror they induce. The transformation into their true form is not just a means to an end but a source of great delight for these demons, as they relish the terror and agony of their victims.
• Covens and Brotherhoods: While they often work alone, they may band together to amplify their power. In these groups, they openly display their true forms, using them to assert dominance over lesser demons and mortal enemies.
• Loyalty to the Lord of the Underworld: Their true forms are a constant reminder of their servitude to the Lord of the Underworld, embodying the corruption and evil he has instilled in them.

Breaking the Stereotype

• Business-Minded Succubi/Incubi: Over time, some Succubi and Incubi have evolved beyond their original purpose, adopting more pragmatic roles in society. These demons, while still dangerous, have established themselves in the world of commerce, particularly in the operation of brothels. In these establishments, they offer pleasure in exchange for a portion of their patrons’ life force. Unlike their more malevolent counterparts, these Succubi and Incubi do not kill their clients but engage in a give-and-take arrangement. Their brothels can be found in both poorer and noble districts throughout Nathakra, blending into society while subtly maintaining their dark nature.
  • Brothel Keepers: These Succubi and Incubi operate and manage brothels, using their seductive powers in a controlled manner. They offer services to both the wealthy and the destitute, carefully sapping just enough life force to sustain themselves without causing harm. Their establishments are known for luxury and indulgence, attracting a wide range of clientele.
  • Business Networks: These demons have also established connections with various criminal and underground organizations, providing services that extend beyond simple pleasure. They may trade in secrets, influence, and other forms of subtle corruption, making them both feared and respected in the underworld of Nathakra.

Habitat:

• The Infernal Scar: The landscape of the Infernal Scar mirrors their true nature—barren, twisted, and filled with horrors. Here, they roam freely in their true forms, surrounded by the remnants of their countless victims.
• Urban Centers: Though they typically hide their true forms in cities, when they strike, the revelation of their monstrous appearance leaves a lasting scar on the minds of those who witness it.

Language:

• Infernal: The guttural, vicious language of the Underworld, spoken most fluently in their true forms.
• Common, Elvish, Draconic: Used when disguised, but their true voices in these languages carry an unsettling, otherworldly resonance that hints at their monstrous nature.

Height and Weight:

• Succubi: Typically around 5’6″ to 6’0″ in height, with a weight that varies between 120 to 140 pounds. Their form is designed to be alluring, with proportions that are both delicate and deadly.
• Incubi: Standing slightly taller than their female counterparts, Incubi range from 6’0″ to 6’5″ in height, weighing between 160 to 200 pounds. Their physique is imposing yet graceful, designed to captivate and dominate.
• Succubi (True Form): In their true form, Succubi stand taller and more imposing, ranging from 6’0″ to 7’0″, with weight increasing to 160-200 pounds as their demonic features fully manifest.
• Incubi (True Form): Incubi grow to between 6’5″ and 7’5″, their bodies swelling with dark energy. They weigh between 200-250 pounds, their muscular frames becoming even more menacing in this state.

Psychological Traits:

• Manipulative: Succubi and Incubi are master manipulators, capable of playing with emotions, desires, and fears to achieve their goals.
• Predatory Instinct: They possess a predatory mindset, always on the lookout for the next soul to corrupt or drain.
• Monstrous Ego: In their true form, their sense of superiority is magnified, as they see themselves as the ultimate predators in the world of Nathakra.
